₹1.25 crore prize for Guwahati International Marathon 2027

The Guwahati International Marathon will debut on February 7, 2027, marking the city’s first global‑scale road race with a ₹1.25 crore prize purse, positioning it among India’s richest marathons. Around 12,000 participants from India and abroad are expected across five race categories, including a full marathon, half marathon, 10 km, 5 km and an inclusive 1.5 km run. The route starts and ends at Judges Field, passing major city landmarks. Led by certified international officials and featuring PV Sindhu as brand ambassador, the event aims to boost tourism and establish Guwahati as a major sports‑tourism destination.
